Second Life roleplaying is great fun and I love planning RP events. Part of that is a search for props... sometimes exploding props. While chatting, I told my good friend Buzzbox Munro about my roleplay plans. Buzz is a great guy and a wonderful creator of WW2 Era items in Second Life.
I told him specifics about our next 366 Squadron RAF mission based in part on the Norwegian Heavy Water Sabotage by the Norwegian Resistance and the British SOE. He was kind enough to recreate VICE Target explode-able Heavy Water Processing Tanks.
These tanks will "star" prominently in our next few missions, the beginning of a new story arc.

WW2 Roleplay in Second Life
We're doing more than just KillCount Combat.
For those interested in such things, we operate several WW2 groups specific to roleplay (RP) in the New Bastogne regions in Second Life. We felt it was lacking depth without our kind of mission oriented RP, so we've created these groups to augment the combat games that normally occur. We're filling in the gaps. Instead of KillCounts, we do spy and sabotage missions.
On the Allied side:
366 Squadron RAF (owner Cornelius Fanshaw)
One of the more obscure squadrons of the RAF. Very few records of the wartime service are available other than some tantalising details in other unit histories. Labeled as a "Special Duties" squadron, it is known to have taken part in Operation Backfire and Operation Surgeon and to have been used by SHAEF as part of T-Force.
ALLIED INTELLIGENCE (WW2 Era) (owner Zoe Connolly)
An ALLIED COMMUNICATIONS group dedicated to providing the latest intelligence on AXIS positions and movements in the WW2 Era New Bastogne Regions that simulate NAZI Occupied France. MI6, SOE, OSS, 366 Sqn RAF, T-Force.
La Résistance française (owner Zoe Connolly)
La Résistance française is a group dedicated to espionage and sabotage roleplay in the WW2 Era New Bastogne Regions that simulate NAZI Occupied France. We work in coordination with the following groups: ALLIED INTELLIGENCE and 366 Squadron RAF.
The French Resistance group is perfect roleplay in SL for women with moxie. Just look at this article of the derring-do of real life Resistance Fighter Simone Segouin. Simone was 18 years old when she fought the Nazis.
On the AXIS side:
Abwehr III Counter-Intelligence (owner Zabrina Jaeger)(aka my alt Zabrina McMahon)
Abwehr III Counter Intelligence IIIF and Minister of Armaments and War Production, Albert Speer, assigned a special Abwehr team to Caen France. Our Mission: To stop the SOE, OSS, T-Force, 366 Sqn RAF and their attempts to steal or destroy Reich special weapons technology.
We decided we needed an AXIS adversary that played by our roleplay rules and in the end, lost most of their battles to us as ALLIES. Who better to do this than us, right?
Zabrina's backstory
Major Zabrina Jaeger of the Abwehr III. A cold and calculating intelligence officer sent to Caen France by Minister of Armaments and War Production, Albert Speer. Her mission: to protect assets and personnel related to German Military Secrets and Wunderwaffe.

- Trunk or box with money
- Trunk or box with glowing object.

We could also use a really awesome logo we can use inworld for our planes, etc and also serve as the SL Group logo.
Thanks!

SL Group: A Message to RCAF and Future Plans
Group Notice From: (RCAF) Royal Caledon Air Force, Zoe Connolly
I want to thank everyone who attended last Saturdays great event. We had loads of positive feedback and the folks at Dogs On The Run were delighted. Trinka Adored and DA Admiral from DOR were very happy with the turnout and so was I! -- a total of 16 people showed up from across the SL aviation community!
Cornelius Fanshaw and I are already busy with plans for the near future. Combat and commercial SL Aviation is thriving. In addition to Blake Sea, there are new sims available for flying and sailing - and great builders are releasing aircraft at a regular rate.
For those of us who want more out of Second Life than just fashion and sex, the adventures await!
(Pictured Below) Cornelius and I chat about our new RCAF WW2 Group called 401 Squadron RCAF. We fly WW2 adventures as Royal Canadian Air Force, instead of the steampunk Victorian version Royal Caledon Air Force. We were joined by authentic Canadian Barry Foehammer.
New SL Aviation Group: 401 Squadron RCAF
As you can see from the pics below, we'll also have an air vs sea element too.

New SL Aviation Group: 401 Squadron RCAF
Description: Originally No.1 Squadron, Royal Canadian Air Force, the squadron arrived in Britain in 1940 where it took part in the Battle of Britain, flying Hawker Hurricanes.
In 1941 was renamed No. 401 Squadron and reequipped with Spitfires which it continued to use throughout the rest of the war.
It was one of the first squadrons to operate from French soil after D-Day and also the first Commonwealth squadron to shoot down an Me262. It was credited with shooting down 186 1/2 enemy aircraft during WWII.
As you can see from the pics below, we'll also have an air vs sea element too.

NEW SL Group for Aviation Roleplayers
SKYWAY COURIERS
At SKYWAY, we take your antiquities, treasures, and mysterious glowing objects VERY seriously. Rest assured (client name/future plaintiff), when we make any precarious package pickup, fast frantic flight, and daringly dangerous delivery, we make every effort to keep collateral damage to a bare minimum. Honest!
Our motto: "It's done, mistakes were made, cash only"
Available Roles
SKYWAY PILOT: You're the owner operator of an airplane, seaplane, or helicopter. You might be an Intrepid heroic Bush Pilot or an Unscrupulous Jaded Profiteer.
TROUBLED CLIENT: You're not sure you should step into that plane. The pilot seems a little crazy and hits the sauce a little too much, but you narrowly escaped those two brutish but well-dressed men and you need to get to your Uncle Leon's remote cabin and lay low for a while. Not to mention this mysterious glowing object is getting a little too warm.
CLIENT CHASING VILLAINS, OBJECT CHASING VILLAINS: Thugs and mad-scientists are welcome in this role category.
THE SUSPICIOUS AGENT or LAW OFFICER: You've been on the trail of the mysterious glowing object for months now. If you can recover it soon, you'll really make a name for yourself at (anytown police dept / teh soopah seekrit service)
Play it for comedy, play it serious.
I'm looking for fellow role-players and someone to create a group logo and various MacGuffins.

SL GROUP: The Men and Women from U.N.C.L.E.
A few years ago I created the group "The Men and Women from U.N.C.L.E."
It's been inactive, but I'm hoping it will get some visibility, new members, and renewed vigor from interest in the upcoming "Man from U.N.C.L.E." movie coming this summer.
If anyone is interested in building U.N.C.L.E. HQ and other props inworld for the Men and Women from U.N.C.L.E. group, please let me know. I'd LOVE LOVE LOVE to get it going by the time the movie is released.

TimeForce 10 - "The Demise of Doctor Dreamscape"
TimeForce 10 - "The Demise of Doctor Dreamscape" from ZoeConnolly on Vimeo.
TimeForce 10 agent Samantha Calamity catches Doctor Zoetrope Dreamscape attempting to sabotage the TF10 Time Tunnel. Calamity chases her to the rooftop helicopter pads, and forces her to the edge where the Doctor hangs precariously.
Dreamscape tries to make a last minute deal to win Calamity to her side.
Is this really the end of Doctor Dreamscape?
Readers may visit the Time Tunnel by teleporting (or timeporting) to the following SLurl http://slurl.com/secondlife/Caledon%20Mayfair/40/243/24. You'll land at my Steampunk home in Caledon Mayfair. Then take the elevator to the Time Tunnel level.

"For Ava"
Our story continues from the post TimeForce 10 Headquarters - The Time Tunnel
The hum of the Time Tunnel grew louder and higher. Another 60 seconds and the Tunnel would be ready.
Phin stood up and stepped in front of the entrance to the Tunnel. He often did this when agents returned and could sometimes catch a brief scent, hear a sound, or feel a rush of air from wherever the agent was time-ported. It was another little ritual for him.
Zoe shook her head but smiled. Her brother's familiar habits were amusing to her most times.
Phin had to speak loudly over the hum of the Tunnel. He turned his head toward Zoe and shouted "Here she is!"
Ava was materializing before their eyes. So far so good.
Until...
An alarm sounded. It was loud and startled both of them.
"Shit!" Zoe yelled.
"What's wrong!?" Phin now shouted over the noise of the Time Tunnel and the alarm.
"1202 Alarm!" Zoe worked the controls while checking monitors. While she did so, she managed to turn off the alarm. A 1202 Alarm was an unresponsive computer. They now had a time-portal open in Caledon Mayfair with no means to control its size, scope, and no way to stop it.
"Z!"
Zoe looked up and saw Ava suspended. Ava appeared to be in pain, her mouth was open as though she was yelling something, or was it a scream? It was the most awful sight she'd ever seen as TF10 Director.
Phin started to step toward Ava.
"No, Phin!"
Phin shouted at Zoe, "Something...or someone has her!"
"Don't take another step, Phin!... I won't lose you, too!"
Zoe looked at her station, then up at Phin "We have to let her go!"
Phin gave an angry look to Zoe.
Zoe shouted "If we don't let her go now, the Tunnel...and whatever has her..."
"Two forces will tear her apart!" Phin finished. "Do it!" Let her go!" Phin's shoulders slumped as she watched Ava disappear. The computer errors cleared and the Time Tunnel started its shutdown sequence.
"We need to find her now!" Phin said as the noise of the Time Tunnel died down.
Zoe stared blankly at the monitors...then slowly said... "I don't think we have to look very far."
Phin blinked and then asked "Dreamscape?"
"If we find our cousin we'll find Ava." then Zoe frowned, "The quickest way to find Dreamscape would be through Zabrina... but of course we're not on speaking terms."
Zoe turned to Phin and smiled "She'll still speak to her brother though."
"I'm not sure about that, Z." Phin said.
Zoe nodded and looked straight into Phin's eyes. "For Ava."
Phin read his sister's face and knew better than to counter her determination.
"For Ava" Phin replied.
