Gusty Winds

For now, this pilot is grounded....

In the past few weeks I've encountered unusually strong and distracting sim-cross effects that make flying and navigation impossible. The effect lasts anywhere from 5 to 20 seconds.

I wondered if other SL Pilots have had this experience as well. Please let me know in the comments

I haven't done it a whole lot, but I've noticed the few sim crossings I've tried recently have taken unusually long to complete. 20s seems to be about right, at the very least.

Lag in general seems to be rather bad lately as well.

Zoe,

even walking cross sims has been painful lately, let alone using vehicles.

It's not just you.

Gah, you're sadly correct. I generally test my new builds out in Blakes Sea which doesn't present the wall of full parcels that lies to the north of Loch Avie. I popped out there at 3:00 AM SLT to see how the weather was, and even flying the Moewe I was being bounced about qhuite a bit. Crossing from Santa Catalina to Blakes Sea Mediterranean did no less than six "redos" - where the plane and I bounced back to the sim border over and over.

Indeed. Slowly drifting in an unpowered ballon above Caer Firnas has met with buffetting winds. the windsheer found at sim crossings has been simply brutal.
