the fact that you can find actual planes built and working based on a design more than a century old is quite amazing.

i've appreciated the blog post about the Apollo missions some time back very much.

i wonder if you might be interested in looking at advanced fighter planes.

Once upon a time the BBC broadcast a series on PBS called "Flambards". the story of a young orphan girl sent to the country to live with dissipated noble relatives in the days before WW1. My mother adored it, and I watched on occasion for it's haunting theme song, and all the ancient Aircraft. A lot of people swoon over the romance of the series but I thought it was the typical Competant, air minded BBC drama of the 70's. Theonly TYoutube I can find is the cheesey song from when Michael and Christiana took a flight in Michael's Bleriot IX. Your clip reminded me of the series, so.. here's the clip and the Amazon isting of the series in DVD.
