For SL Video Content Creators: Where to post your SL Videos...
I noticed something interesting soon after the posting of my latest video on January 2nd.
For ages I've posted on YouTube and to a lesser degree Vimeo. But I discovered one of the best places to post a video is actually better known for photographs.
Flickr is widely used among SL residents and it's been great posting my newest videos on that platform.
As of this blog post, here are the stats:
Vimeo (highly promoted through friends and group notices)
44 views
YouTube (used primarily to embed the video for Blogger. Since Google owns YouTube and Blogger, video embeds work perfectly. Views are organic and not heavily promoted so far as I know)
44 views
Flickr (posted in 2 SL video groups but otherwise - not heavily promoted)
122 views
I highly recommend posting on as many video platforms as possible, but it really is interesting to me how Flickr traffic is larger than YouTube and Vimeo combined.

WW2 New Bastogne Test Movie 1
It's been a while since I created videos in Second Life.
This is a test machinima produced in the WW2 Combat roleplay regions of New Bastogne, recreating German Occupied France.

VIDEO: SL Aviation January 2015
Ugh, I'm not happy with the quality of this video, but I have little time to tweak these as I did in the past.
At present I haven't figured out if there's a way to capture video for machinima from SLGO. Or even if it's possible. If anyone knows please drop an email. Thanks!
I'm not entirely happy with the music either, but the selections on YouTube keep me out of trouble with Copyright Laws.
So yeah - I'll just push the content out! ;)

Today marks the end of my Machinima Career
Sorry folks, no more Machinima from me and no more past Machinimas are available for viewing from my Zoetrope Productions YouTube Channel. I've made them all private.
A) I have too many RL Projects that demand my attention, and...
B) I don't want to get into any more trouble with copyright infringements with YouTube and have my account deleted. Some tracks I use are okay to use and then over time they're not. Instead, the videos I post here will be OTHER violators of copyrights ;)
Other than that, I'm having an okay 2013. How about you?

TimeForce 10 - "We're getting ready for Season 4"
This is a test video, rendered using Corel VideoStudio Pro X4 Ultimate.
I've previously used Windows Movie Maker and Sony Vegas. To use a Goldilocks Analogy, Windows Movie Maker was too simple (and crashed often). Sony Vegas was too complex. Corel's VideoStudio Pro seems to be just right!
So here's the plan! More adventures and more videos!
With the start of TF10 - Season 4, we're planning comics and also comic-style videos.
I'm in SecondLife to have fun, but I'm also a believer in the use of Second Life and Video to tell a story. In my case, my intention is to present our favorite genre elements from the 1960s and 70s into a serial style format, much like the serial films of the silent era through the 1950s.
Many thanks to my father, brother, and sisters who all shared adventure stories and movies with me. And many thanks to my good friend in Second Life, Mr Cornelius Fanshaw who co-created TimeForce 10 and shares this little passion for spy-fi fun with me.
We would love to have you join us and add your own adventures to this little part of the SL roleplay universe.

In the Third Teaser for the Second Season of TimeForce 10, we introduce Audra Brash. Attractive, Young, Energetic, and Brilliant... We see TimeForce 10 through Audra's eyes as a new "point of view" character.
Will she be able to handle the office politics between Zoe Connolly and Erika Drake?

Erika intends to carry out the President's Executive Order 17223. Will Erika find Dr. Dreamscape or will Dreamscape escape once again? And win or lose, will Erika's actions change TimeForce 10?

TimeForce 10 - Season 2 Teaser
With Dr. Dreamscape missing after what should have been a fall to certain death, the President signs Executive Order 17223 - ordering a select group of agents to seek and eliminate her, forever removing Dreamscape as a threat to the Timeline. Dreamscape's assassination warrant, signed in February 2031 is valid through all time periods.
In the weeks and months to come, TimeForce 10 faces a new enemy with an old agenda. But Doctor Elizabeth Lazarus seems all too familiar to the TF10 Team.
Could she be the missing Doctor Dreamscape?
