Usually in the porch/landing area of my space station skybox. I will sometimes rezz direct in my destination via slurl or typing in where I want to be into the viewer' log-in window, but usually I rezz at home before TPing elsewhere.
I usually rez in the bedroom half of my little island rental shack on PIER. Familiar pieces of art and pictures of friends on the walls, the windows propped open to the tropical breezes and the gentle sound of the surf, and my favorite PG dance club right across the water... :)
Sore topic, but am getting happier about it with a new place in a sim where I have a house situated while I look about for the right place to host a little project for cancer patients that I've dreamed up. Now I'm rezzing in the lanai at the house even though half the time I'm straight off to NonProfit commons aloft where the Frozen Pea Fund has space. This way at least I can remind myself what I was wearing the night before :)
In the house Chestnut and I built. As she says, it may not be perfect, but it's home ;-)
When I first came into SL I briefly rezzed in the Warmouth inofhub, then a quiet spot on a work island, and as soon as I got first land, on my first land. Since then it's been a succession of private cabins and houses I've setup, on land I own.
I generally leave "Last location" set in the client, so I don't have to TP after crashes, so... every so often I rez someplace random, if SL has been bad, or I have to leave in a hurry. That always sort of leaves me feeling like "Oh, I need to pop home."
Wearing the catsuit you have on there, I get the impression that seeing you when I rez might be a fun idea!
Actually, this isn't far from the truth, as I appear inside the Stenvaag family home. I stand in front of the patch of wall I've hung photographs on. You're on there, as well as some of my closest friends, with shots taken all over the Grid. It occurs to me now that I should use this as a guide of where to go if I'm ever bored, but I seem to forget this far too easily.

I rez in my skybox. The land belongs to a friend, but she lets me squat there for free. I actually spend way too much time there in general *laughs*

I usually rez in my office - the plan was that I would get the work done first that way. Some times it actually happens. :)
