My WeGame.com Machinima

I'm really disappointed with the results of my WeGame Machinima in the last week. It seems no matter which SL Client I use the quality is very poor. This weekend I'll consider a few alternatives for video capture, editing, and online storage.

Ugh!....So much for the simple, easy to use WeGame.

To the WeGame folks, please let me know when this bug is fixed. I'd love to come back...

Agreed, I thought I was shooting at low res, when in fact I was using the high res setting. I think too much detail is lost when the local wegame engine compresses the clip for upload.

Zoe, I've been going back and forth with the WeGame staff for the past few days, and as of today, it seems to work. You'll need to uninstall WeGame (search for the unins file in the WeGame program folder), then go to the website and download the latest. Before uninstalling, make sure WeGame isn't running (you may have to restart and close, rather than login when the WeGame popup appears on start), or you won't be able to get rid of all the old files.

They also sent me a patch, so if it doesn't work for you still, you can email me at vtombola@gmail.com and I'll forward it to you.

Of course, in the meantime, I went out and bought Fraps, which has better resolution and allows for screen shots. You'll need to upload VirtualDub as well (a freebie) in order to compress the files if you wish to post them on the WeGame site (which has a 100Mb limit). Also, you can do limited editing with VirtualDub, which is nice.
