This whole thing makes me a bit nervous... since I only have partial hearing in one ear, it forces me to reveal a disability...

Still not sure how I feel about adding voice to the SL experience (I currently feel no urgent need for it, but do see how it would be useful) but I think it's going to be one of those things where if you don't use it, you'll be left behind as SL continually updates the features. I don't know, hard to say how it will be accepted by the masses...
