Inworld Flickr Slideshow and RSS Blog Displays

Questions for Codie, Dalien, etc...

I'm thinking ahead here...

When we have our Blogger Island (code named Blogpile Island) can we:

1) display our Flickr Photos via some sort of RSS feed slidshow?

2) display our blog via RSS or even better a real time image of our blogs?

3) then click on the display that would give a notecard with our URLs?

I'm thinking these displays could be setup in the center of the island in a town square.

1,3: doable.

2: need to research. the most straightforward thing is text-only display, but limited by 2K. I have another solution in the pipeline, but for that would need to lift my seatpoint and actually *do* something, as opposed to typing in LSL =)In short: TBD.

1) display our Flickr Photos via some sort of RSS feed slidshow?: google for Kriss Constellation and read up on Flickrviewer. ;) (Going to test it at SLB4)

1. this is my little project but I was under a huge pile of work lately (and certainly even more in the next weeks).

There will be a demonstration item for SL4B.

It can handle user/group/set flickr slideshow and I hope to be able to implement an authentication system to Flickr to ease management.

sorry for the late reply. both are very doable. im working lately with scripts to display text in-line from SL through the Video component. theres many possibilities using that. i know Kisa Naumova already have the Flickr thing working. for the blog entries, I could work a feedreader that reads the blog entries from a list of RSS feeds and generates Gif animations on the fly with the frames using PHP/GD. could probably use live snapshots of the sites too but would need a webserver with a GUI, which is not my case actually.
